MOO POINT

A lot of you must be familiar with F.R.I.E.N.D.S., right? There’s this one scene where Joey says, “Moo point. It’s like a cow’s opinion. It doesn’t matter. It’s Moo!” Well, it’s funny but it is also quite interesting and adaptable.

Let me tell you how.  You’ve been judged quite many times right? Felt embarrassed because someone was laughing at you or someone wasn’t happy with your attire/fashion sense or you’ve been body shamed and made feel little of yourself, and many different reasons. Well, of all those people who have judged you till now or who have OVER-CRITICIZED you, are they still in your life? Probably not, because most of them were strangers or people you don’t know, or, were friends who had a shorter lifespan in your life. (As I have said in one of my previous blogs, like products, people in your life come with an expiration date too. And if you don’t remove them, it’s toxic!)

See society is a whole bunch of hypocrites. So if you do something, WHY DID YOU DO IT? And if you don’t do it, then WHY DIDN’T YOU DO IT? An example of it is women’s clothing. Always questioned! Always criticized! And that’s not it. Even what you do, where you go, how you walk, everything is being judged.

Well, some of you might disagree with this, but except for your family and 2 or 3 friends (at max), there’s nobody who’s going to be forever.  Actually, there would be a time when even these people won’t be with you or they may criticize you. (Some roads you’ve to walk alone and those roads, if taken, will take you to a different level)

So, this is where THE MOO POINT comes! You want to do something; if you think it is right; it is good for you; go out, and DO IT! Don’t care what your friends will think, what your crushes (are they worth the hype) will think or what other people will think about it. It’s just when it comes to you and your life decisions, you should only listen to YOURSELF. What others say DOESN’T and SHOULDN’T MATTER. Their opinion should be nothing but gibberish to you.  Am I trying to say, develop an “I DON’T CARE ATTITUDE?” NO! See everyone has a different brain, everyone has different thinking and everyone has a different perspective of life. So if you try to live your life from someone else’s perspective, there’s going to be an ERROR! In the long run, you are not going to be happy with it. And guess what, the person who gave you his/her perspective, in the future may not even be in your life. Don’t let temporary people make permanent changes in your life.

Can we live without criticism?

One word answer, NO. Without criticism, there would be no growth. See if you start something new, some people tell you where you’ve gone wrong with it and how you can improve it. That’s good criticism, it helps you improve. But there’s always going to be a bunch of people (probably the people you know) who’ll make fun of it and talk bad about it behind your back.

So if someone comes to you and says, “What you’re doing is wrong, it’s not going to work and you’ll never go anywhere with what you are doing.” So, if this person is important in your life you can talk and understand why he/she said so. And if he/she isn’t important to you then it’s a MOO Point. It doesn’t matter what they think! And your reply should be “okay, thank you.” That’s it. And then you don’t even think about it. This is where most people go wrong. Some random person says something about you, and you end up thinking the whole day. All you have to do is ask yourself the question “Is this person REALLY important to me?” And if the answer is NO, then boom! There you go.

IT IS A MOO POINT! THEIR OPINION DOESN’T MATTER!”
