COPY, EDIT & PASTE
LIFE IS BASED ON THESE THREE PRINCIPLES: COPY, EDIT AND PASTE.
If you are going to create something different or create something new then this is not for you.
COPYING
Humans have the tendency to copy things. That’s why we have
trends and terms like the ‘bandwagon effect.’ We see people eating a particular
food and we feel like trying it too. How do gyms work? People see others
working out, getting in shape and they get influenced, they get motivated and then,
they COPY THEM. Everything that you are
doing today has been done before.
You, I, and everyone
else are just copying.
What you are learning right now has already been studied. The
job you are at right now, somebody else had it, and after you, there’s someone
else who’s going to have it. The things that you are doing today: a ton of other people have done it, are doing
it or will be doing it.
Who are you? A doctor, an engineer, a lawyer, a teacher,
whoever you are, there are millions of others like you. So, find people, who
have succeeded in your respective field and COPY THEM.
Is copying a bad thing? NO. Exams made us think that it was,
but it is not. Copying can be good/bad, it just depends on who you are copying.
You copy a rich guy; you become a rich guy (of course considering that you work
hard/smart as he/she did.)
So, should you copy someone/something exactly as it is? The
answer is NO. That’s why we land on the point called, EDITING.
EDITING
You can’t copy something that was done, and try doing it in
the exact same way that it was done. If you copy exactly like it was done
before then there are high chances that you are going to fail. Why, because
your circumstances are different, your strengths are different and your
personality is, DIFFERENT!
So, do you love what you do? (You should probably do, if not then there’s still time, please change your path) If you do then, you want to give your best and eventually be the best right? It’s very simple. Check who are the best people in your field and copy them. By copying, I mean following their path and not stealing their work/content/product. Not a big fan of plagiarism.
You don’t want to be the best in your field? It's fine, it’s okay. But at least you want to be good enough right? It is very, very, very simple to do so. All you have to do is find people who have already done it, learn from them and COPY it. The path is almost going to be the same. All you have to do is change a few directions according to your likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses and, your personality.
PASTING
Copying is
easy, editing is a little difficult, but pasting is the hardest.
Every one of
us wants to be like someone, so we try to copy them and fail. Why, because, we
never edited the path!
Some of us idolise a person, they copy him and,
are smart enough to edit the road according to their life but, they fail to
execute; they fail to take the journey; they fail to walk the road.
Many of us are stuck at this exact point, PASTING! You have found your target, you have created a plan, a path, according to your own way, and all you have to do is run on that path, walk on it, or even CRAWL on it! Do you do it? No, you don’t! And then you say that it’s complicated, it’s difficult, it’s hard and it can’t be done. No, it’s very easy and it’s very simple. All you have to do is be consistent and perseverant.
Life is simple, YOU complicate it!
