99 PROBLEMS
Now let’s
say you have an (XYZ)2 problem and you got no solution and with time
the frustration is just growing. And it keeps on growing if you keep it that
way. So what to do in such situations? It’s easy. (Everything is easy, people complicate it.)
All you have
to do is first clear your mind (meditate for a few minutes or any other thing
that’ll help you.) Next, get a piece of paper and brainstorm; on the solution
& not the problem. There’s a very thin line in between, so stay alert. Now,
the solution could be good, bad, worse, very bad or very good. It doesn’t
matter, put everything down on paper. Once you are done with your 15-30 mins
of brainstorming, STOP. You have to
stop or your brainstorming could end up into a pessimistic complaining session
real quick.
You are
almost there. The hard part is over. Now you have a bunch of solutions with
you, and like it or not, you have to choose one of them and work on it, AND IT
HAS TO BE NOW! No procrastination, remember?
If you wish
to make it easy to decide you can rate your solutions depending on the damage
they would do, the ease of doing them, the time they take and any other factors
that may be important for you.
Why is
damage a factor?
Because the
problems that you are stuck on usually have a solution that does a certain
amount of damage to you, which you are afraid to suffer so you have delayed the
problem which is actually doing no good to you. Sometimes, no most of the
time, no ALWAYS, it’s always
important to cut losses because your problem’s going to multiply. It’s not a
stock you have invested in to wait and gain a profit, but IT’S A PROBLEM!
So now, at last, you have decided/chosen the
solution for your problem? Alright! DO
IT. SUFFER THE LOSS. MOVE ON.
IT’S EASY ENOUGH, RIGHT? WELL, OF
COURSE, BECAUSE I MAKE SURE IT IS.
