Uh-huh? Do it!

Age 16-25 we don’t really know what we are good at; what we want to do with our life; what we are made for! This is the time when you try different things, and it’s even better when you FAIL at those. Well when you don’t know something, you have two options. One, you can sit back and let yourself age, complete the degree, and then assume that it’ll all come to you, or option two, you can just go out there TRY AND FAIL; or possibly succeed. 

Well, people are so obedient; they wait for them to receive their degree to be given the “PERMISSION” to do something. WHY! Why can’t you start something before you get the degree, unless you’re a doctorate student, then, of course, you need permission haha. If you’re learning fashion, architecture or fine arts then try making your own designs; you’re learning some new language, start writing; if you’re studying engineering, start fixing things or try creating a product; go do internships, go work for free (money doesn’t matter at this age. You’re getting knowledge and experience). When you start working on what you’re learning you’ll get more clarity on what exactly your degree is all about and then you can decide if you really want to do it or want to change your stream.     

Some people have their shit figured out. They’ll be like, dude I already know what I want to do. Well if that’s so what are you waiting for?  Why don’t you start doing something right now? Why don’t you go out there and start a business? Maybe it might fail, but at least start it. Some of you would be like you think too big. Well, I’m not thinking big, you’re thinking small! Do you think you’ll get a job just because you have a degree? My friend, go check the growth rate of the population again. Check the competition. If you want to do a job and be highly paid, you got to stand out from the other candidates. You got to do something other than the degree. YOUR DEGREE IS NOTHING BUT A PROOF THAT YOU KNOW THE BASICS. THAT’S LITERALLY ALL THAT YOUR DEGREE DOES!

You’ll be like Siddhesh I don’t know much about my degree and how a business works. Well then go try and know something! When you are unaware of something you go out and try, not just sit back and make excuses.

Well, I got many different theories and I follow them. One of them is, that I want to fail as much as I can till I am in my 20s. I take big risks, I risk a lot of things, and many a time I fail and get into big trouble. But it’s fine, I learn a lot of things when I fail and it doesn’t really affect my life that much. But as you grow older, your responsibilities increase, and then taking very big risks is not easy at all. So your motto, for now, should literally be "risk hai, to Ishq hai!" Take huge risks till you're young.

What can YOU do?

See one of the biggest mistakes we do is waiting for our degree to be completed. Possibly people won’t hire you unless you have a degree, but you can hire yourself, right? Why not start something by yourself? You got social media right? Sell your product or content there. Easy as that! One of my friends is making a bike. Did he wait till he was given the engineering degree? NO!

You can also start a business or just create content with your hobby. Few friends of mine baked cakes and sold them. One other friend, she dyed clothes, branded them and sold them.

You always complain, right? That is how you were not taught how finances work & how a business works. Well go out there, try and LEARN! See if you start something new, let me know. I’ll be the first one to support it.

You are passionate about something, you have got a vision and you can see yourself being successful at it, that’s the exact unfortunate time when people hop in. Now they might not have the same vision or the same perspective. And most of the time they’ll be stubborn and try to not understand your perspective. Or they are not that open-minded enough to understand it. And trust me; such people don’t want to be wrong so they’ll try their best to talk you out of it. They bring in pessimism because if you notice they’ll mostly tell you all the drawbacks and the negative points if you choose to go down that path you envision. Ever felt like you don’t fit in? And other people just advice you to blend and try to fit in, well don’t take that advice. See, when you feel like you don’t fit in a particular surrounding then you are getting closer to knowing yourself and if you just accept that advice and blend, you’ll probably lose the only chance you had to discover yourself. If you don’t fit, stay alone because it’s better to feel lonely when alone rather than being among people and feeling the same.
